fuel your school
supporting educational programs that help students become the leaders of tomorrow
After purchasing the Pasadena Refinery in 2019, Chevron added the City of Pasadena as a new market in the company's Fuel Your School 2019 program. The program earmarked $425,000 for the Greater Houston Area, which included nine participating Chevron & Texaco retailers in Pasadena.
Chevron and DonorsChoose.org collaborated on this program to support K-12 teachers and inspire students with funds for classroom materials at public schools in 16 U.S. communities.
Fuel Your School ran during the month of October 2019 during which Chevron planned to donate $1, up to $5 million, to classroom projects when consumers purchased eight or more gallons of fuel at Chevron and Texaco stations in participating U.S. markets. When local flooding that year impacted schools in the Houston Fuel Your School market, Chevron removed the October customer fuel-purchase requirement.
Chevron’s Fuel Your School program was available for eligible classroom projects up to $1,000.
The Fuel Your School program was part of Chevron’s overall support for education, which has totaled more than $400 million worldwide since 2013, helping provide teachers with tools to prepare students for jobs of the future.
